Crucified Messenger

“Crucified Messenger”

This is the phrase I heard while in prayer; face down, trembling, crying out for God to strip me of myself. Pleading for Him to leave nothing of me, only what is of Him. In the last five years, I’ve had a handful of these moments; encounters where the presence of God is so heavy, it feels almost impossible to breathe, yet in those moments, I am more alive than ever.

After I heard those words I realized something. Don’t you know, that the primary cause of death during a crucifixion is suffocation. When we take up the cross and follow Christ Jesus we are not only dying to self, we are suffocating our own nature that the nature of God would be preeminent in our life. For me, in that moment I was realizing, in greater depth, the call to follow Him. We, as disciples of Christ, are called to take up our cross and follow Him. When a person was sentenced to death by crucifixion they would be forced to carry a cross beam(patibulum) through the Via Dolorosa(The way of suffering) til they would be either tied to the beam or nailed(they nailed those who they considered a deity). When onlookers saw a person carrying that beam, they knew that person was sentenced to death. To take up our cross is to allow the presence of God and the word of God to crush us, to suffocate our own selfish and sinful nature so that the divine nature of God can reign through our mortal bodies. My friends, do onlookers know we are carrying that beam? Do they know we are not living for self? Do they know who we are living for? Carrying the cross sent a message. God is calling us to be a crucified messenger, what message are we sending?

With that in mind, we at One For All Missions are focused on building an army. An army of mighty men and women that’s sole focus is to advance the kingdom of God. An army that is tired of Luke-warm christianity where An army that is tired of carnal christianity where their praise has to be neat and their proclamation has to be tailored. An army that is tired of warming seats when they are called to set hearts on fire. Is that you?

This year we have at least ten opportunities to function as this army. The first on the docket is April 19th as we partner with River of Life Church to proclaim the Gospel in Tappahannock. This will be an outreach to reach those in that region far from God through a day full of food, fun, and community. We need volunteers that are willing to pray, serve, and connect with those who come from the community. During this time we want evangelists ministering to hearts with the Gospel and we will have a time of open air preaching to solidify those planted seeds. The second is May 31 as we head to Fredericksburg to conduct our Street Church Campaign where we will have open air worship and preaching. We need volunteers to pray, serve, and connect with the community. We are also still gearing up for our WV mission trip on September 28. Registration is open and we still have roughly 15/25 slots available. We will be serving those in poverty through construction and are planning evangelistic events for our time there. Registration closes March 16th. If you are interested you can email Admin@oneforallmissions.org for next steps. We need a mixture of those that are handy and can assist with construction, as well as those who are willing to pray, serve, and connect through our evangelistic efforts.

As always, I want to take this moment to thank you all for your support and prayers. You have no idea how much they mean to us. Your prayers are essential to keep this mission moving forward, and we are deeply grateful for your partnership in the gospel.

I also want to encourage you to take a step of faith and get involved. Here are two ways you can allow your faith to act:

  1. Generosity: Our vision exceeds our current provision, but we know that God will provide. I want to invite you to be part of this journey. Your giving is not just meeting needs, it’s sowing into lives being changed by the gospel. You can click the link in this email and start partnering financially today.

  2. Join the Team: We have many campaigns planned, and with them come opportunities to serve God not only in the Church but as the Church. Whether through outreach, prayer, or logistics, your role is vital.

Together, as crucified messengers, we can advance for the Glory of God and the proclamation of His Gospel.

By His grace and for His glory,

Matthew Ausby Meadows

Arise and walk

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ THE LORD and SAVIOR! We are excited as we step into this second month of year 2025, being filled with expectation and faith as God our Father guides us by His Spirit deeper in devotion toward Him and vision for all that He has given us to steward.

The Father has been speaking to us in ways that have left us in awe. In the past 30 to 40 days, we’ve received more clarity and confirmation for this ministry than ever before. As we prepare for our first outreach, we are confident that we are walking in the Spirit. However, this isn’t just about us, it’s about partnering with you, the body of Christ, to fulfill His mission to reach the lost. We’re excited to share a few updates and opportunities to join us in what God is doing.

There is one significant revision for our first outreach. Previously scheduled for April 5th, our outreach in partnership with River of Life Tappahannock will now take place on Saturday, April 19th, just before Resurrection Sunday. This date works better to coincide between their Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday service. We are excited for this partnership and what God will do through our obedience as we proclaim His Gospel on the weekend that statistically generates the most church attendance. (By God’s grace we will see this change as we preach His unadulterated word and He pours out His Spirit).

Another significant update is the mission trip we are leading to McDowell County, WV. We will head to McDowell County on September 28th and return on October 4th. This is in partnership with Rural Compassion who ministers through construction to the poorest community in the USA. We will be coming alongside them to provide both construction assistance and evangelistic efforts. Presently we are working through details but we are attempting work with the one school in the county to provide necessities and receive an open door to minister the word of God to the primary, junior, and high school students in 3 separate services. We are also hoping to have one large gospel campaign to end the week where we invite the entire community. If you are interested in this trip please email me at mmeadows@oneforallmissions.org. The process will include filling out an application, registration, and deposit. There are only 25 slots available.

I want to take this moment to thank you all for your support and prayers. You have no idea how much they mean to us. Your prayers are essential to keep this mission moving forward, and we are deeply grateful for your partnership in the gospel.

I also want to encourage you to take a step of faith and get involved. The Church is the Body of Christ, and as His body, we were never called to be bedridden. Instead, Christ said, “Arise, and walk.” We are called to live, move, and abound in the work of the Lord; carry out His mission.

Together, as the Body of Christ, we can arise and walk into the work He has called us to. Thank you for believing in this mission and for being part of the movement.

By His grace and for His glory,

Matthew Ausby Meadows

New Year Revolution

What is a revolution? Interestingly, the word’s English origin is from the 14th century, and “it referred to the movement of a celestial body in orbit.” That meaning then extended to be “a progressive motion of a body around an axis, a completion of a course, regularity of motion, or a predictable return to an original position.” Almost simultaneously the word took on a dual definition and meaning to be “a sudden radical or complete change”. This dual definition was due to its root word “revolt” which meant “to renounce allegiance”. In the 16th century, Nicolaus Copernicus used the word to establish the idea that the earth took 365 days to have one revolution around the sun. It wasn’t until the 17th Century that the word began to be associated more with what we know it to be today, “a rapid, fundamental transformation of a society’s class, state, ethnic, or religious structure.”

So again I ask, what is a revolution? Is it a continuous cycle? An endless orbit? Going around and around the same path, a similar trajectory, always moving but never advancing beyond our sphere? Or is it a sudden, radical, and complete change? My friends, I believe that the answer is for us to determine.

In 1971 Mayo Mohs, TIME MAGAZINE’s religion section editor wrote the cover story about the wave of young adults leaving the lascivious lifestyle of sex, drugs, and rock’n roll…. for Jesus, classified the phenomenon as a “Jesus Revolution”. What a way to classify a movement of God. A revolution. A radical change that affected our social, political, and economic world. A sudden shift in the fabric of our society. A new allegiance is being taken and the old is renounced. This is what Jesus does. When Jesus becomes our Lord, He radically affects every sphere of our life. When Jesus is our Lord, it is impossible to be stuck in an endless orbit. When Jesus is our Lord, we become revolutionists.

The title of the cover story in TIME MAGIZINE was, “The New Rebel Cry: JESUS IS COMING”. The cry of a generation who went from death to life, darkness to light, hell to heaven, was “Jesus is coming!” It was their revolutionary cry. Well, I have news for you, the Gospel of Jesus Christ has not changed. Jesus Christ is revolutionary. Everything about His person, everything about what He did both among the people and on the cross is revolutionary. He is the same today as He was during the Jesus revolution and as He was when He went to the cross.

The Jesus revolution is largely attributed to one individual, Lonnie Frisbee. I could pause here and tell you, “All it takes is one to start a revolution” and end it with, “Are you going to be that one?”. However, the truth is that it did not start with Lonnie, it began with Jesus, Jesus is the revolutionist. He does the radical change. He has been doing it for almost 2000 years and He won’t stop until “The kingdom of this world becomes the Kingdom of our God.” Jesus is indeed coming. When? We don’t know. How? Gloriously.

We at OFAM have one mission. To invite the world to come to Jesus because when they meet Him, they won’t be the same. This is what Lonnie did. He introduced a generation to Jesus and when they met Him, the changes were so radical that it got the world's attention and forced them to classify it as a “revolution”. He became a revolutionist because His Lord was a revolutionist. If Jesus Christ is your Lord then you have this same capability. Everything we have planned for this year, we have this in mind, that by God’s grace and through the power of His Gospel thousands of lives can be revolutionized. I will leave you with this, if you are feeling lifeless then I want you to evaluate your relationship with Jesus. Is He your Lord? Is He your friend? Does He have your allegiance or is your allegiance with something else? Lastly, if you're feeling revolutionary then I want you to apply to be on our team.

Until He comes,

Matthew Ausby Meadows

2025 Preview

Our team has been working tirelessly praying and planning for the coming year. We have rejoiced in Christ Jesus for all of the fruit that has abounded thus far. With reflection on the marks we hit and the marks we missed, we are excited to announce all of our plans for 2025. As a disclaimer, we will say that not all of the details have been solidified but what we have received, we present to you!

In 2025, OFAM is planning 12 evangelistic events from March to November. Five of those events will be Gospel Campaigns in Fredericksburg(2), Richmond, Charlottesville, and Tidewater. Alongside each of these Gospel Campaigns, there will be evangelism training and evangelism. Three events will be in partnership with River of Life Church Tappahannock’s “Show the Love” outreaches. One will be a 3-day Revival hosted at River of Life Spotsylvania. One is in partnership with You Are Loved Ministries in Orange, Va. Then OFAM will be conducting two evangelism seminars open to the public to equip disciples in sharing their faith.

Presently, we are working on church partnerships for each Campaign as a time to labor together in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As well as individual partnerships to help support all these efforts. The estimated cost for all of these events next year is $48,000. We have begun to fundraise and are currently at 3% of our goal. Our goal is that by March 1, 2025, we have all the funds necessary for these Campaigns. Please prayerfully consider becoming a partner with this ministry and making an eternal impact with your finances. May God bless you richly with His grace.

By His grace and for His glory,

Matthew Ausby Meadows

2024 Review

As the leaves change and we embrace the fall season, we at OFAM take this time to reflect on the year and look ahead to the future. It brings us great joy to share how God has been at work through our ministry in 2024.

This year, we've witnessed over 40 individuals make decisions for Christ. While this number is lower than in previous years, we rejoice, knowing that all of heaven celebrates each soul that turns to Him. Each decision represents a soul saved and a life transformed, and we're humbled to be laborers in God’s harvest.

Our focus this year shifted toward strengthening the body of Christ. We've preached 33 times—22 of those within churches—dedicating ourselves to building up believers. We completed a 16-course School of Evangelism, graduating 10 students who are now serving in various ministries. Additionally, we led an 8-week Evangelism Explosion course, along with workshops and seminars, culminating in our largest event of the year, "Mission: Go." At this event, we saw 6 salvations, 9 baptisms, and equipped around 70 believers to boldly share the gospel. We trust that the seeds planted will bear eternal fruit as equipped believers reach out in their daily lives.

Looking ahead, we're excited to refocus our efforts beyond the church walls in 2025. We have big plans to reach more souls and expand God's kingdom, and we can't wait to share the details with you next month.

Would you consider partnering with OFAM financially to help make these plans a reality? Your support is vital in sowing into the harvest we anticipate and enabling the goals of our ministry.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support. We hope this letter encourages you, reminding you that Jesus is still saving souls, lives are being changed, and the church is growing. We're dedicated to this mission and grateful to have you alongside us.

By His grace and for His glory,

Matthew Ausby Meadows
